woostercollective

Ever strolled down an alley or a street side and stumble upon kick ass graffitti? Living in NYC is like a haven for discovering fantastic street art all over town. Wooster Collective is not a product, nor a store, but it is a blog that features photos of street art from around the world. I’ve seen quite a few in person but have always wondered who the artists were. Well, if its on Wooster Collective, chances are the artists’ names will be there.

Tribute in Light

Tomorrow marks the anniversary of 9-11. For those of us who went through it in person, we each have something very personal to remember. This year I’ll be on a flight out of EWR on 9-11.

bedroom landscape (wall, pillow, blanket)

I’ve been a fan of Limonada from flickr for quite some time. I don’t know her in person except for the excerpt that she is a lawyer and possibly lives in NYC. Short of sounding like a stalker (I’m totally not), I simply thinks that her photography is exquisitly spot on. She has this uncanny eyes for bringing out the beauty in the simplest objects that surround us all (think wall, doors, twigs, etc). There is a unique quality in the color and composition of all her photos. When I am ready to commit to putting something on my wall, I think I’ll try to get in touch with her to see if I can acquire through her permission prints of her photos. Above, “bedroom landscape”.

(ps. hooray i figured out how to blog a smaller photo size!)

stair on canvas

This weekend I need to take some time off to build 2 websites - one is an update of my dogwalker’s site what’s up dog, and another is for a friend’s fundraiser. You’ll also notice I’ve added the little Meebo Chat widget. Say hi if you see me online! I’d love to hear from you. I’m also planning on building out 2 more pages for this blog - first is an archive of my Japan travelogue which was on my old (and now defunct) website; and second is a header art archive page, which I intend to change monthly (a la old Flavorpill style). I’ll still post goodies updates as well.

blue rain

It has been raining here everyday in the past week. It makes me sad and lazy. This summer has generally just been crazy climate-wise. It probably is a result of our own doing polluting the world. Visit Climate Crisis (click Take Action) to see what you can do to reduce your carbon output and do your part to contribute. Every little bit counts. Do you live in NJ?
